The Amazon Parking Lot, located within the Tollgate Commercial Center in Naples, is an 8-acre parking lot located upon 11 acres which was constructed to serve the nearby Amazon hub and distribution center. The parking lot boasts an impressive 566 oversized spaces, with the overall development specifically designed to Amazon standards. The parcel of land was previously platted for commercial outparcel developments, and the design and permitted required the vacation of several easements and demolition and modification of existing infrastructure. This project was unique in that, in addition to civil engineering design and permitting services, Peninsula Engineering managed the construction of the development, which was predicated on tight deadlines in order to meet leasing agreements.
